Dee Lashawn Lockett is a leadership educator, author, consultant, and coach whose work sits at the intersection of leadership, communication, marketing, and organizational growth.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience across business, corporate, nonprofit, ministry, publishing, and community environments, Dee helps leaders recognize patterns, gain clarity, solve problems, and translate ideas into practical action.

She is the founder of The MARKED Academy and creator of the developing CLARITY Framework, which brings together decades of experience helping people and organizations lead, communicate, make decisions, reach people, and grow more intentionally.

An experienced writer and publishing professional, Dee has spent more than two decades helping others bring their ideas to life through books. She has ghostwritten more than 50 books and helped publish more than 200 books for clients while continuing to develop her own books, educational resources, and intellectual property.

Dee is the author of Marketing From the Inside Out and an experienced educator and facilitator who has taught entrepreneurs and leaders through organizations and initiatives connected with the City of Detroit, Fifth Third Bank, Great Lakes Women’s Business Council, Michigan Women Forward, TechTown Detroit, and others.

At the center of Dee’s work is a simple purpose: helping people see more clearly, lead more intentionally, and use what they know to make a meaningful difference.

My leadership philosophy is grounded in three principles: Clarity, Connection, and Courage. I believe effective leadership begins with the clarity to understand what matters, recognize what may be getting in the way, and make intentional decisions about what comes next. It requires connection—the ability to listen, communicate, build trust, and bring people together around a shared purpose. And it takes courage to act on what you know, navigate change, have difficult conversations, and move forward even when every answer is not yet clear.
