A Life of Service

Dee Lockett is the Founder and Executive Director of Reach Out and Rescue, a welfare and community advocacy organization serving at-risk children and their families. She is also Chief Executive Officer of  The MARK[ED] Agency.

She has over 20 years of experience marketing and consulting with small business owners, community organizations, and charities.

Ms. Lockett attended Wayne State University with a major in Accounting. She has her Project Management certification from the University of Adelaide and her Women’s Entrepreneurship certification from Cornell University. She has also completed the extensive entrepreneurial program at Joseph Business School.

But for Dee, service is at the heart of everything she does which led her to start sharing the marketing and sales knowledge she has acquired by volunteering as a subject matter expert (SME) in marketing and technology for the SCORE SE Michigan chapter, a resource partner for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Known as an engaging and powerful presenter.  Ms. Dee Lockett has been called on to teach marketing workshops to help struggling business owners for the City of Detroit, Fifth Third Bank, Luminary NYC, Operation Hope, Great Lakes Women’s Council, Michigan Women Forward, and TechTown Detroit, just to name a few.

In addition, she was recently asked to mentor two of the American Express 100for100 (#AMEX100for100) award recipients. Since her mentorship with them began, her mentees have received features in Ebony Magazine, increased revenues by 40%, secured $25,000 in funding, and opened a new retail location.

In 2019 she became a certified crisis responder through Crisis Response International and is a long-time supporter of Charity Water, No Kid Hungry, and Alternatives for Girls charities.
